My Holy Grail(s) Leather Jacket

Well, as many of you know, I've been long obsessed with the Balenciaga Moto leather jacket. Every season there are new colors and what seems to be different textures in their leather. I recently found one on consignment that just knocked my socks off, so I thought it was a good time to share.

2010 BLACK WITH BRASS ZIPS

This gem has been officially added to my collection. When I think about the retail price (a whopping $2695) it makes me cringe, but I've yet to pay full retail, so that's how I've justified my collection. So without further ado...

2009 KHAKI WITH BLACK ZIPS

2010 CAMEL WITH BRASS ZIPS

2009 HAVANA WITH BLACK ZIPS

So the moral of the story is: if you're looking for THE perfect leather jacket, look no further. I know the price tag is scary, but I promise you, they're worth every penny!

Walk a mile in my shoes...

Ok, so to be honest, as fashion obsessed as I am, shoes have not always been on the fore front of my shopping list. Well that all changed today. I've been slowly starting to "collect" shoes but today I found the shoe....

It made me wonder, did Cinderella feel this way when she found hers...or was it the Prince? (I'm saying both!). Either way, there is nothing like a fabulous shoe to make woman feel like a million bucks! So now I'm officially part of the Glass Slipper club. My newest "loves" added to the collection are these beauties.....

CHARLOTTE OLYMPIA-Bebel

HOUSE OF HARLOW-Natalia

FRYE-Jenna

As Marilyn Monroe once said: "I don't know who invented high heels, but all women owe him a lot." soooo true!

Happy Cyber Monday!

So for those of us who enjoy online shopping, today is your day! There are some amazing deals to be had, and you don't even need to get off the couch to do it. For me, as a mother, I'm in love with this idea. I don't know how our mothers before us (and before the internet) got any kind of shopping done. When I have to actually go to the mall, my son has other ideas of how he would like to spend his day....so it usually is a short trip. Hence my love for online shopping.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, I was discussing this very topic, only to find that my family knew almost nothing about how to shop online! (crazy, right?) So, let's start with some easy and money saving tips:

-Google 'cyber monday' for websites that show you the best deals.
-When searching for something specific, if it's sold out on one site (which means it was probably the cheapest), ask about 'Price Matching' to competitors. 9 times out of 10 a company will match the price of their competitor...so ask!
-Always read the fine print! For example: make sure there is no restocking fee if the item has to be returned.
-Always, always, always google any coupons. Almost always, there is a 'free shipping' coupon you can use.

So here is a list of my favorite places to find deals for 'Cyber Monday':

First Post!

Hello Stylish friends!

This is my very first post on my very first blog, so I'd like to start out by saying

WELCOME!

And thank you for taking the time to read my read my blog:)

So my latest and biggest obsession right now, is building my dream closet. Once I get something on my brain, its impossible for me to get it out, until I accomplish it! So here is my inspiration....

Not that I have the space to build something like this, but a gal can dream right? As they say "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars".

So I have some designs going already, but after looking a what feels like hundreds of pictures, books, blogs...it's hard to decide on what best suits my style and my home. I find my mood reflects my style, so who knows where I'll end up!

Until next time....
